Join the Griffins
The new season is now underway and, as you know, last season the First XV gained promotion to Midlands 1 (W).
We're delighted to have been able to welcome some new Griffin Club members already for this season and hope you would like to join us.
Looking at the fixtures, we will be once again playing many of those clubs who have been a part of the OL’s fixtures for a number of years now and the season will be a tough one. I know the players appreciate the support they receive from Griffin Club members, and to this end I am writing to encourage you to join us and ‘cheer on’ Glenn Todd and his team.
The format will be similar to previous years with lunches being provided for home league games, there are no National Cup Fixtures. During the coldest months, 4 buffet lunches will be replaced by hot meals. The cost will be the same as last year, i.e. £80.00 per couple and £45.00 for a single person, we have been able to maintain costs as there was a healthy balance left from last season. The VP’s Lunch will be held on 25 September 2010 so there will be no Griffin Lunch that day.
If you are interested in joining the Griffin Club, could you please let me have your cheques as soon as possible, payable to OLRFC Griffin Club, together with your contact details.
Additionally, if you know of any other people who would like to join, they are more than welcome, but please advise me of their names and addresses – membership is open to VP’s and their friends.
